Overview of the Ute Water Conservancy District's Water Resources and Infrastructure

David Payne, Assistant General Manager, Ute Water Conservancy District

This presentation will briefly explain the formation of the Ute Water Conservancy District, its service area and treatment facilities, then focus more on water quality, acquisition and utilization of source water supplies, drinking water compliance regulations, planning and developing for the future, and the regulatory and financial impacts on development.

Dave Payne is the Assistant General Manager at Ute Water Conservancy District. Dave has over 17 years of experience in the water treatment industry and has been with the District for almost 3 years. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mesa State College, is a certified Class A Water Works operator, an active member of AWWA (American Water Works Association), and is a past recipient of the AWWA Ralph R. Leinhardt operator of the year award.
